Is there a nicer editor for LaTeX documents? I am using TeXworks and I don't like it :)?

I am working on a paper to be submitted to Elsevier journal and I need to use LaTeX. I feel it is less annoying than Word sometimes if you are used to it, but the issue is that I don't like the editor I am using.

Any suggestions? Have you used LaTeX before for editing scientific papers?
Probably not the best place to ask this question, but why not trying? It only costs 5 points :)

I don't understand why you have to wear LaTex gloves to type a paper.
