The ignorance of some people always fascinates me, specially when they ask silly questions. companies have representation every where, embassies keep staff, NGOs have foreign employees, etc etc ....
, and before the israeli bombings, lebanon was a pretty safe place. and no, to the paranoiac who sees illegal people everywhere, not everyone is a terrorist

I would seriously consider about moving to Antarctica (such as Admunsen Scott - South Pole Station) or space (such as the ISS), if it was possible to... because I like a little adventure in my life.

Have you never been to Lebanon? Its beautiful and the best food I've ever had in the world, and I've traveled quite a bit. I would live there in a heart beat! You can be at the beach and an hour later be in the mountains. Its, or it was lovely, and my heart goes out to the people who live there.

Lebanon is not as dangerous as you're thinking. They have internet cafes, clubs, raves, very updated and westernized. The news gives you a very skewed vision of what Lebanon is. Don't believe them.
Check out the link below, they actually have more cell phone lines than regular phone lines :)
There's even a Idol-like show and I'm watched it a few times and it wasn't that bad, but their singing is a bit different for my tastes. :)

maybe perhaps that before the Israelis and Hizbollah started shooting seven bells out of each other, Lebanon was enjoying a well deserved peace and reconstruction after a vicious civil war and Syrian occupation. I should imagine that many foreign nationals were there either to contribute to this work or maybe because they are related to Lebanese nationals.

i was pondering the same question myself.
if they know a place that is dangerious and move there anyway (due to work, holiday etc) then they should stop complaining when it all goes titsup.
they had a choice, THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO GO!
i really have no time for idiots like that...

Those are all illegal aliens who gained citizenship in various ways in the western world. They are also all radical muslims who support Hezbollah. That's why they are there.
